Artistic exploration is the most deliberate way I have found to investigate the question: What is worth paying attention to? Developing a line of continuous inquiry is as important to me as the artwork itself. Even though I do not always know the destination, I do my best to approach my investigations with thoughtfulness and sincerity. By searching for answers through art, I believe I obtain a better understanding of my place in the world.
Each of my artistic investigations asks questions whose answers exist in the tangible realm. However, their importance lies beyond - within the realm of human understanding. I believe heightened perception stands side by side with improved communication and compassion; that even small things can create a profound impact. The goal of my art practice is to generate sensitivity in myself and for those around me, so the work we do may inspire and improve our lives.
